Pete WINS Big Brother 2006 PDF Print E-mail
Written by UKBB.Net
Tonight, Big Brother series 7 ended its 93-day run. The nation has been voting all week, the final votes have been counted and verified and host Davina McCall revealed that Pete is this year’s £100,000 winner.

When the voting lines closed, Pete had received 61.2% of the votes for the final two places.

On hearing the news Pete jumped up and screamed. He then fell down, before starting to run around the room. Glyn and Pete hugged, as Glyn said “I said you’d win it! Well done”. The pair threw cushions at each other before Glyn’s 30 seconds were up and he ran to Pete for a final hug. Glyn then left the Big Brother house singing “here I go again on my own” and shouting “I’m going home!
Pete looked stunned as he said “no – no I’m not, I’m not the winner … s**t!”
Left alone in the house, Pete starting dancing around in circles, screaming and shouting “eeezamanna!”. At one point he knelt down behind the couch and said “Sorry for worrying too much, I worry too much”.

Glyn is the runner-up and will leave the house immediately. Pete will leave at the end of tonight’s final live show (10 – 11.00pm). He will be greeted by Davina and the awaiting crowd before taking part in his first live TV interview as the winner of Big Brother 7.
When the voting lines closed, estimated money raised for charity from the voting lines throughout the series totalled approximately £1.2million. Approximately £257,365 of that was raised from the vote to return ex-housemates to the house.
This year, 10p of every vote cast during Big Brother will be divided between three charities: Shelter, Teenage Cancer Trust and the Tourettes Syndrome Association which was Pete’s chosen charity.
